Ryan, Whitney & Co., Tom Y. Sawyer & Associates and The Synergist Group have merged into one organization: Ryan, Sawyer & Whitney at 652 White Ave. The company’s specialties are marketing, advertising and business development. The goal of the merger was to combine related services and create a stronger agency, President Tom Y. Sawyer said.

• Intermountain Auto Sales, 2120 U.S. Highway 6&50, is hosting a credit management class from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Courtyard Marriott, 765 Horizon Drive. The class will cover credit scores and facts and myths about improving credit. There will be a question-and-answer session.
Erika Jones, general manager of Intermountain Auto Sales, will lead the class along with financial industry experts.
“We have seen a real need for simple education about credit and how it works with most consumers. This class will provide the education and hopefully help some families in our community,” Jones said in a news release.

• The Colorado National Monument book store and visitor center has been temporarily relocated to a mobile location in the parking lot adjacent to the main visitor center. Employees of Ridgeway Valley Enterprises in Montrose are adding electrical capacity, removing insulation, sealing holes and reinsulating the attic of the visitor center building.
The building is scheduled to reopen Nov. 24. The mobile location will remain open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily until the building reopens.
• The Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce will have a small-business tuneup seminar from 9 a.m. to noon Monday at LaQuinta Inn & Suites, 570 Raptor Road. Christopher B. Gaty, a lawyer, and Jeff Wendland, a certified public accountant and certified QuickBooks Pro advisor, will be the speakers. The workshop cost of $35 includes coffee, juice and light refreshments. • Roman Family Chiropractic, 2584 Patterson Road, No. 4, is one of several chiropractic offices across the U.S. participating in “Help a Neighbor in Need” this month. Roman Family Chiropractic will offer free gift certificates for chiropractic consultations and evaluations or $10 off hourlong massages through Nov. 20 for every bag of nonperishable and canned food donations brought to the office. Donations will benefit Food Bank of the Rockies.
• The Rifle Economic Development Corp. recently opened a new office at 136D E. Third St. in Rifle and hired its first manager, Julie Bjurstrom. Her duties include encouraging businesses to come to Rifle, finding business investors and advocating for the town of Rifle. REDC is a nonprofit organization formed in 2007.
• Papa John’s Pizza, 1310 North Ave. and 3102 Interstate 70 Business Loop, is having a food drive this month. Anyone who orders from a Papa John’s store and mentions they would like to feed the hungry will receive a free order of breadsticks when they donate two nonperishable food items. The drive works with both delivery and carry-out orders.
