And the cupcake says….

By Melinda Mawdsley

Several months ago, it came to my attention that learning the gender of an unborn child is a big deal. Enough of a deal, in fact, that my husband and I were “strongly encouraged” to find out what we were having so people could start planning their lives.

They needed to turn it into a guessing game.

They (Rachel) needed to know if they (she) could knit a strawberry hat for the baby to wear when leaving the hospital.

They needed to know what color frosting to put in the cupcakes for the reveal party at work.

I'm happy to report that the 20th-week ultrasound went great! The baby is healthy and growing and in several months my husband and I most likely will be welcoming a little baby girl!

(Sorry I didn't take a photo of the pink frosting inside. I was eating a cupcake.)
