Meet our new (used) baby swing

By Melinda Mawdsley

Don't buy anything, at least not anything new, "they" said. Not yet.

It'll be difficult, "they" added. Baby stuff is so cute. You'll go to Target for contact solution but will leave with a bunch of blue or pink clothes, while also forgetting contact solution because pregnant women forget everything.

(It's true. I forgot to put on deoderant like a month ago.)

Fine, I agreed. I won't buy anything, at least not anything new.

And this swing wasn't new.

My husband said one, used swing would be fine. It was clean, in great shape and was bought with cash for much less than retail.

I have no regrets. I look at it every day.

Plus, the swing plays nature sounds. If it could support my weight, I'd get in it.

As for everything else, I've listened. Nothing new, at least not yet.

Yes, even these clothes are used. The pants are from Goodwill and the shirt was an old maternity shirt from a friend. This photo was taken this past weekend on Grand Mesa. Seriously, get up there. It was 65 degrees.

It is a good baby swing. but there are so many baby swings with various features.

Pregnancy can make you buy things, lots of things, but so far you’re doing great. You will need many clothes for you and your baby. When the time comes, you should consider buying handmade baby headbands. Besides being affordable priced, they are very cute and your baby will look adorable wearing them.
