Just goes to show GJ’s loyalty to it’s local contractors, right off the get go get some out of the area firm to do the design work, what’s the matter you hate the people you rip off for permits so bad you feed the parasitic front range, or just afraid that local companies just maybe get a little return on their money you’ve extorted from them, and MAYBE actually put locals to work, as far as I can see GJ city government is a traitor to it’s taxpayers and businesses, like the parkway, and 24 rd, and every other project you ‘farm out’. I’m glad I don’t live there!

Grand Junction blacklists the police station again! the proposal offers a number of benefits for the community. Do you see it? I don’t see it. Worker housing? The BOOM is OVER…WAKE UP! I think jobs are needed before you start worrying about worker housing. How is hiring a Denver firm to design this wonderful community benefiting project benefit the community? I assure you when the bidding process begins, more contracts will be awarded to the outside then on the inside. They will of course award at least ONE to a local so they can say that it was a benefit to the community. Hmmm, if someone were to look into it, I wonder if someone in the design firm in Denver is somehow related to someone concerned with the project. A new library, senior center, senior housing, worker housing…HEY! did anyone notice Police station listed in the project? Wow, yet another multimillion dollar project and Grand Junction conveniently blacklists the police station again! Grand Junction citizens…remember this when they start begging for a police station later this year. Hey, police chief instead of passing propaganda on the sly about a new station, maybe you should go lean on the city for continuously adding projects to the budget and snubbing the police force everytime. It’s interesting that the Grand Junction residents vote for these people and they then turn around and send the voters money to Denver.
