Government wether state or federal should partner with private enterprise and not look to be a very large part of the weight that holds it down. Why could we not have more strongly enforced the rules that were already in place? Again this is a case of the government going over the top to address perceived issues instead of focusing on the actual problems in the industry. A complete overhaul of the oil and gas rules was not needed, paying attention to the details of what we had is what was needed.
