Sun dogging it
The sun has gone a month now without watchers seeing any spots.
The precise portent of this development is unclear, but there is reason to think that sunspots are linked to changes in Earth’s climate. The theory is that there’s a direct relationship between the number of sunspots and Earth’s temperature, i.e., more spots, equal higher temperatures.
Of course it’s only a theory. Like gravity, perhaps …

That would be an hypothesis not a “theory.” Gravity is a “law” and not a theory. It isn’t just seventh graders who have a shaky grasp of science.
