Congressman Salazar winning campaign-finance race

Congressman John Salazar, D-Colo., continues to dominate his Republican challenger, outgoing Delta County Commissioner Wayne Wolf, in the fundraising race, according to recently filed campaign finance reports.
From April 1 through June 30, Salazar took in $157,833 compared to Wolf’s $2,075. And Salazar ended the quarter with $662,153 in cash on-hand compared to Wolf’s $1,050.

(You can see how the two campaigns are doing to date at the Federal Election Commission’s Web site.)
Magnifying Wolf’s lagging campaign finances is the fact that to-date, he has contributed more than 30 percent of his campaign’s total take — $8,431 — since entering the race.

Wolf has maintained in interviews with Political Notebook that money isn’t everything. That’s true, but it certainly isn’t nothing.
