Sen. Salazar welcomes Coffman to congressional delegation

KenSalazarSpeakingwithHandsFlatUpArchivePic.jpg

U.S. Sen. Ken Salazar, D-Colo., congratulated Secretary of State Mike Coffman on his recent Republican primary win in the 6th Congressional District during his remarks today at Club 20’s fall meeting.

“I see Treasurer (sic) Coffman,” Salazar started.

“Welcome to the delegation,” he added.

Salazar’s congratulations is noteworthy particularly because he overlooked that Coffman has a Democratic opponent: Hank Eng.

Perhaps this was a mistake, but it could says something about a candidate’s name recognition if a sitting U.S. senator from the same party doesn’t know who he is.
