GOP women to boycott Oprah

OprahAndaBookAPPic.jpg

Oprah had better be prepared to take a serious hit in her ratings: The Mesa County Republican Women have announced a boycott of the media magnate’s popular show.

According to their press release, delivered to Political Notebook this morning: “Fallout continues from Winfrey’s refusal to allow Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin on the highest rated day-time television show after inviting Obama to announce his campaign on her show. According to the MCRW, Oprah appears to have taken back a promise not to use The Oprah Windfrey Show to influence the Presidential election. This promise followed her campaign events and donations to Obama.

“‘Oprah’s refusal to interview Palin places Oprah’s personal political investment over the importance of women’s issues in the United States,’ said Janet Blackman, president of the MCRW. ‘Oprah has interviewed VP and Presidential candidates during the campaign season in the past. Why should Palin’s appearance be delayed until after the election?’”

[…]

“The MCRW will begin encouraging women not only to boycott the show, but will also begin a drive to have women who value women’s issues to cancel their subscription to ‘O’ Magazine.”

Oprah has gone too far when she seems to think she is higher than God’s Holy Scripture with her New Earth, etc. I don’t watch her anyway but Palin has a lot of wisdom that Oprah is denying.

I WILL NOT JOIN MY SISTER REPUBLICANS IN THIS BATTLE THEY HAVE LAUNCHED AGAINST A WOMAN WHO HAS DONE MORE THAN ANY OTHER PERSON IN THE PAST 20 YRS TO HELP EMPOWER WOMEN. OUR PARTY HAS ENOUGH TROUBLE GETTING NEW MEMBERS BECAUSE MANY SEE US AS NARROW MINDED. WE ARE NOT SO WEAK THAT WE NEED TO TRY TO HURT ANY WOMAN TO WIN THIS ELECTION.BY ATTACKING OPRAH YOU ARE NOT ONLY MAKING US LOOK BAD IN THE UNITED STATES, BUT IN THE WHOLE WORLD. HOW WILL REPAIR THIS DAMAGE AFTER THE ELECTION ? PUT YOUR ENERGY IN SIGNING UP NEW MEMBERS!!! THANK YOU.

Oprah has lost a lot of women already with her false religion. I for one won’t listen, watch, buy or put up with one thing that has anything to do with Oprah Winfrey! She is lost and she needs to repent and turn her life over to Jesus Christ who shed his blood for her! I will pray for her but until she changes her ways, it don’t matter if she has Sarah Palin who is a wonderful “LADY” on her nast demonic show! Sarah is to good for the likes of that type of garbage!

The Republican men and women will do anything to win. Do you really think that your boycott will make any difference? You slash and burn, lie and smear the Democratic candidates and then plan a boycott of a popular tv show? It is certainly telling that you have to force your candidate on people. You can’t win on the issues because you have none. You have nothing but George Bush/Dick Cheney and that about sums it up. Just grow up, take your medicine like good girls, and pray that you will win at a later date.

OPRAH had deceided NOT to have any political candidates on her show ever. Barack Obama was on there BEFORE he ran for office.

I emailed Oprah last week and told her how her decision to throw herself into the political ring has forced me to boycott her. This was her decision to put herself in this position and it’s my right to tell her how I feel about that, that’s the beauty of living in the USA. I am not a part of the Mesa County Republican Women but completely support them in this boycott and hope that others will get behind them too.

Talk about a bunch of sore losers. Oprah can do what ever she wants, she won’t lose a cent or any viewership over your tiny boycott. I doubt she really cares about your type anyway. Perhaps you are getting worried that there are more enlightened people in this world than yourselves that vote?

I think Oprah is wrong not to have Sarah Palin on her show. It is her show, but she has showed her preference for Obama by campaigning for him. Millions watch her but for myself she is not my political or religious leader. She lost me when she went “new age”. I don’t relate to her super star fascination. Iam more interesting in improving my knowledge and saving money. You have to congratulate her on her success, but she not someone I admire. By Judith Robins

I HAVE BEEN A DEMOCRAT FOR 24 YEARS, I AM GOING TO VOTE FOR JOHN MCCAIN AND SARAH PALIN. IF THERE IS GOING TO BE A BOYCOT OF OPRAH, THEN THE WOMEN NEED TO BE ORGANIZED SET UP A WEBSITE FOR THE BOYCOT, AND AT LEAST ONE OF THEM NEED TO WATCH THE SHOW TO SEE THE SPONSORS (COMMERCIALS) THEN PUBLISH THE LIST OF SPONSORS. ONCE YOU HAVE THOSE THEN POST THEM ON THE WEBSITE SO ALL OF THE WOMEN CAN CONTACT EACH SPONSOR AND VOICE THEIR OPINION TO THE SPONSOR DIRECTLY. ONCE THE SPONSOR’S SEE THE AMOUNT OF WOMEN CALLING THEY WILL STOP ADVERTIZING THEIR PRODUCTS DURING OPRAH’S SHOW, AFTER ALL THAT IS HOW THE NETWORK MAKES MONEY. I AM SURE IT IS NOT JUST REPUBLICAN WOMEN WHO ARE UPSET OVER THIS. I BELIEVE OPRAH’S ACTIONS ARE RACIST! IF OPRAH WAS WHITE AND SARAH PALIN WAS BLACK, THERE WOULD BE A RIOT! THE NNACP, JESSIE JACKSON, AND AL SHARPTON WOULD BE CALLING FOR THE BOYCOT THEMSELF. THERE WOULD BE CARS TURNED OVER IN THE STREETS AND SET A BLAZE AND ALL AMERICA KNOWS IT! OPRAH IS RACIST AND THIS PROVES IT!

Once again, this just goes to show how far (how low) Republicans will stoop to win this election. I just hope that people will open their eyes to see exactly who these people are. A pretty face and a few fancy words are not what it will take to be able to interact with some of the not so nice countries that are doing all they can, and are just waiting for America to fail. The country is hurting, but McCain still says all is well with the economy. Times are bad now, but nothing compared to what it will like if Republicans get in again. If we ever prayed, we certainly need to be doing it now. How sad.

She has every right to decide who comes on her show. Let Palin go on other shows and demonstrate to us how little she truly knows about world affairs and women’s rights. Perhaps she is supporting Obama because she shares the same views. What if she had denied Obama to go on her show but had Palin on? Would you all be as upset?

I aggree with V.Williams, Oprah has done more for women and children than any republican or Democratic candidates. Do something to change the time limits on the congress and sentate, get rid of the outdated old boys club. Do something productive with your time, besides bad mouthing someone who has done nothing but try help others.

MCRW are wasting their time. Someone should realize that all their boycott is doing is taking time away from their campaign for Mccain. It’s a personal vendetta against Oprah. SHe doesn’t need the magazine subscriptions or the viewership, but by all means, put lots of effort and time into the boycott. That just means less publicity in GJ for Mccain.

You Democraps are sure getting all worked up about this. You are forgetting what the fight is about. You’re so used to having the media sway your direction that I know it must be hard to hear that what you’ve been getting is completely biased. I challenge you to think outside of CBS, ABC, NBC and CNN….I know it can be actual work to have to think for yourself but if you’re looking out for the best interest of the country than that’s what you’ll need to do.

You Democraps are so willing to listen to the mainstream media and the Hollywood wacko’s yet you forget that these people have millions of dollars and haven’t lived in the real world of paycheck to paycheck.

Why are you so willing to pay for all these social programs? Is it because you’re living off the system yourself or is it because you want to “help the needy”? If you want to help the “needy” then you give them your paycheck but leave mine alone. I’m sick of paying for dirt bags that live off of my hard work!

So no, this isn’t about being a baby or being upset that Oprah refuses to have Palin on her show. This is about the mainstream media slanting their views and opinions to you uneducated boobs that are too afraid to think for yourself so you’ll vote for the person that has no experience or answers other than “Change”. The only change you’ll have is the pennies and nickels left in your pockets after they rape your paycheck with more taxes!

Regardless of what party you are involved with, since Obama announced that he was running for president that opens the doors for others. There are alot of people that feel she is voting for him only because he is half black, that is her right. Everyone has an opinion. There is truly not one person running that can fill all the promises they are making. And this comes from some very smart people from both sides.

The country as a whole needs to work on energy solutions, jobs, keeping jobs in this country, (I am tired of foreigners at the other end of the phone, these jobs could be done by people here in the US from their homes..) This is all regardless of what party you are associated with.

NOW SHE WON”T GIVE THE TIME OF DAY TO A WOMAN, WHITE AT THAT! I ALWAYS HEAR ABOUT HER CHARITIES SHE SUPPORTS, THATS A GREAT THING, BUT THEY ALMOST ALWAYS HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH BLACKS. WHEN WINPHREY OPENLY SUPPORTED B. HUSSEIN OBAMA,SHE WENT TOO FAR, PLAYED GOD IF YOU WILL, BECAUSE SHE THOUGHT PEOPLE WILL FOLLOW HER DECISION. SHE, TOO IS SELF ABSORD & ARROGANT JUST LIKE him. HOW CAN SHE SUPPORT A CANDIDATE WHO IS ALL FOR ABORTION, INCLUDING PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTION WHICH IS THE PULLING OF THE BABY’S FEET FIRST, THEN STRICKING THE HEAD TO SUCK OUT THE BRAIN?? HOW EVIL IS THAT?? B HUSSEIN OBAMA HAD ALLOWED IN ILLINOIS TO HAVE THE DOCTORS & NURSES LEAVE THE BABIES WHO SOMEHOW SURVIVED THE ABORTION IN A PAN TO DIE, UNATTENDED. AND THEN, DISCARDED WITH OTHER MEDICAL GARBAGE. SHE,B HUSSEIN OBAMA & THE MEDIA, PARTICULARLY NBC WILL ALL GO TO HELL SOMEDAY & THERE, WILL MEET THE PARENTS OF THE UNBORN BABIES THEY KILLED BECAUSE THEY PARTICIPANTED, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY IN THE HORRORS OF ABORTION.

SHE IS SUPPORTING him, BECAUSE he IS BLACK. PLAIN & SIMPLE!!

Andrew: Here’s the definition of Marxism that is short and sweet!

The theory seeks the elimination of the notion of private property in order to gain control of the economic “means of production” by taking it from the rich for the benefit of the poor or working class. His philosophy of history was called “historical materialism” in which his goal was to bring about the end of history, by means of an eventual perfect, classless, utopian society he called Communism.

You tell me…..isn’t that exactly what you Democraps want? Tax the wealthy to give to the poor because you don’t have the drive to make your own money? I stick by my remarks fully!!!

Michael Jordan was a very wise man - he never got involved in politics when asked. His response “both sides spend money, and they may buy the products I endorse.” Now there’s a man with a brain. Frankly, we should be boycotting all these crazy celebs - stop going to their movies, buying their records, etc. They should just shut up and do what they do. To you who said you were a Democrat for 24 years but are now voting republican? Why is that? You seriously can’t be saying that all of a sudden, you don’t believe in the Democratic party, cuz it’s basically the same players. And the same players are still there on the republican side that you didn’t vote for over the past 24 years. So, is it because Obama is BLACK, or is it because Palin is a WOMAN?

Anyone who votes on those premises, either for or against, is STUPID, FOOLISH, BLIND, IGNORANT, MINDLESS, OUT OF TUNE WITH ANY ISSUE FACING YOUR NATION. You are absurd and ridiculous and only waste voting booth time. Tell me, what if Palin was a man, would you still vote Republican? If Obama was white, would you still be a Democrat?

Better yet, let me confuse you more.. If Palin was BLACK, who would you vote for then, or if Obama was a woman, what then? Absolutely pathetic. No knowledge or concern over issues at hand. What a waste.

As for Oprah, who cares, get a life those who want to boycott. What if Oprah was a white woman having not invited Palin on her show? I mean, seriously, there is no basis for any of this crap.

You people are Americans right? In America we have certain freedoms. It is Oprah’s show and Oprah’s choice of guests. If you think Oprah only supporting Obama because he is black are you saying that he has nothing else to offer this country because he is black. You would tear down one woman because she isn’t promoting another. That kind of cancelling out leaves us with nothing. Talk about a cat fight. I am so sad to read these comments. After reading these comments, i find it disgusting the way people have made this thing into a completely different issue. Do you really think its about Oprah not empowering women, really. When you pick your team you pick your team, whether she mentions Barrack or not. ITS HER SHOW. Finally Black Americans have a political figure to look up to. How can people say that Oprah only does things for black people, who else is. There is ten time as many kinds of charities and funding for white people, but that’s not enough. Will it ever be, One really funny thing is no one said nothing about a female vice president not being elected over the past forever, but lets vent on Oprah. Sickening!

Why is it that Sara Palin is so unquailified to run for high office because she has young adult children who may have made some poor choices (which has nothing to do with an election), but when we had a president who committed the most disgusting immoral acts while holding the highest office in the land, that didn’t matter because our liberalism makes us blind! Don’t you people know anything? When Senator Obama was on Oprah, it was to promote his book “The Audacity of Hope”. And then Oprah asked him if he was going to run for president. She said that often people ask her if she would run for president and she said no because she knows that there are other people better qualified than her to run the country. THen she said she does not usually openly back a presidential candidate, but she felt that Senator Obama had the intelligence, based on his books and on his biography(Harvard Law review and the work he did to help people in Chicago)to do a great job for this country. John McCain has experience, Barrack Obama has intelligence! So Oprah asked Senator Obama to let her be the first to know when he would announce his candidacy. He did not go on the show to do it and I don’t think he has been on the show since. As for her personally endorsing him, so what? She has the money to do it she is a US citizen and has that right. Don’t you think “Big money” is backing Senator McCain? Maybe he does not need that much money because he already has a lot of money(7 houses all worth more than 1 million dollars)! How many of us can say that? Stop being biased. Sarah Palin, although very elegant clearly does not have the intelligence to carry out the job. May I remind you that Senator McCain has survived 3 bouts of cancer and some heart attacks? Could he not have chosen, someone more experienced? It’s all package, no substance! Besides, I will take Hillary anytime. The fact that Sarah Palin can become governor of Alaska speaks volume about how smalltown Alaska is. In which other state of the US would a former beauty pageant and newscaster with no experience in politics become mayor and then governor. I do not see that happening in NEW York(maybe in California) but that’s about it! When it comes to playing hardball, she will get hurt and then you republicans will cry sexism. Oprah did not back Senator Obama because he is black. She did it because he is intelligent. And again, she did not have him on her show after he declared his candidacy! Get your facts straight!!!

I say Oprah should let Palin on her show. This way she will actually have to answer some “real” questions. I’m all for another repeat of what happened to Mccain on the View.

FormerFan: Life nor politics have short & sweet answers; perhaps this is why you are having a hard time understanding my point. Maybe you are a teenager, I’m not sure. Notice I used the plural; as in schools of thought, & books. Your fear of the “liberals” taking over & raping your paycheck smells strongly of the historical dissent that helped to form the many Marxist theories & movements out there. Please educate yourself in an accredited school (since you imply that you have a bit of money, you could afford a semester or two) rather than look up simplified theories on the internet that anyone can use as a blanket excuse for their political leanings one way or the other. By the way, I’m a not affiliated with any political party, so please don’t assume I’m a Dem or anything else. I’m done with you.

Oprah supported Bill Clinton. She has had Conservative/Republican men on her show. McCain is still very welcome on her show-I’m sure. So how is she racist? Black men + rap music lovers claim she is sexist and racist against BLACK MEN! She just can’t win. At,least with bigots and nut jobs. As for her wealth and influence, how can you idiots tolerate Rupert Murdoch and his very questionable wife (google her history) but bash OPRAH? Google Oprah’s charity work or check her sites. Most of her charity has been for Americans. Oprah switched recently and said she did it becuase she felt many Americans- especially minorites- didn’t understand just how much more opportunity that had in America than people in foreign countries do - especially women and girls! That’s not racist! You conservatives are! Go back to protecting rich, white CEO’s and telling yourself the country is suffering because of Oprah.

I certainly do not agree with every thing Miss Winfrey has to say or what her guests have to say. But, Oprah has the right to have or not have any guest of her choosing on her show. I resent women trying to bully her into doing what they want her to do. Oprah, do your thing. you are too powerful and successful to let these people intimidate you. By the way, I’m with you girl, Obama is the man with the plan! Stand up and be strong!

Whoa, people, I know voting is a duty for every American citizen and freedom of speech is a privlidge to us all, but this Presidential election is going to draw blood before its over! We need to pray to God to get the answer we feel is the right person to vote for. I almost decided not to vote, but thats not good either. So either candidate has a chance of winning with or without the big O or the boycott.

For those of you that keep saying Oprah is supporting Obama simply because he is black…SO WHAT! Whites (yes,I am white) have been doing it for decades. When you support anybody for anything based on their race, you don’t really know whay kind of individual you’ll wind up with until it’s to late. I meen look at some of the idiot white people we have put in power just because we cared about the color of their skin more than their person. The blacks that support blacks simply for the color of their skin will make the same mistakes whites have made over the years.

Get a life you GOP women, Ophra has a right to invite whoever she chooses on her show, just because she is a woman is not a God given right to impose her on others. If Ophra was a white woman who had dinied palin access to her show, would you all be whinning about it. And before you dim witt think I am black, I am white, but I just hate racists, since I grew up among blacks and they are loving people when you take time to know them/ so get a life and I pray Obama goes to the white house,so of you will have to jump over the Brooklyn bridge.

I find this whole debate ridiculous. Irregardless to whether I agree or disagree with her choice of candidates, it seems to me that Oprah has as much right as any other U.S. citizen to support the candidate of her choice…and that is the real issue for those who continue to pursue this idiotic boycott. True she is supporting Obama but she hasn’t had Obama, Michelle, Hillary, John McCain, Joe Biden or any candidates or their spouses on her show since she announced that she wouldn’t have candidates on. Why were you not so enraged when she didn’t have Hillary Clinton on her show—-the first woman to mount a viable campaign to be the first woman president. Stop the hypocrisy! She decided last year not to have ANY candidates on her show until after the election. Where is the problem? It’s her show….she’s not ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX News, etc. etc. I’m sure she intends to interview Palin after the campaign. Get a life! Oprah will still be a biillionaire if she stops broadcasting today. By the way, I am not a regular Oprah viewer. Just someone with a brain!

I am so tired of this whiplashing from the Hollywood types that I refuse to go to the movies anymore. I used to love rock n roll it seems that country is really worth listening too! As far as Oprah goes, she tries to do good but only if she benefits from it, who let the crack bag out? this is what I want to know. Tell Barack he needs to find out more info about who signed these deals that let the economy go to hell. His right wing lying cheating friend Bill Clinton. Barack I have nothing personal to say other than JUST WORDS like your idiot wife “first time in her life she is proud to be American” sorry blowfish face but even when I lived under a bridge for a while I always thanked God above for his son and his love that gave me to America. Oprah said she will not use her show as a political platform, and she endorsed Obama months ago!!! Why not boycott the fact Palin is doing NO interviews with anyone rather than whine about her not doing on with Oprah?

I am sitting here LMAO reading these comments from these few right wing extremist women. If you hate Oprah, just don’t watch, just as many refuse to listen to right wing drug addict Rush Limpbaugh. Backing Sarah Palin’s anti-woman positions is so laughable. If you became pregnant as the result of being raped, Palin would force you to carry the result of that rape for nine months and force you give birth to the rapist’s kid. She even opposes a woman’s right to choose when a woman becomes pregnant through incest. Some women, like men, are so blinded by party affiliation that they will cut off their nose to spite there face.

I doubt that Palin would want to go on Oprah’s show. She rather be interviewed by the likes of Sean Hannity where she knows she would not have to answer for her hypocrisy.

Christians should not watch Oprah anyway because she has become a false god for a lot of people. The Lord in his word states have not idols before me and she is indead a false idol. Oprah is leading people to hell and one day people will wake up. I just hope it is before it is to late. I know Obama is popular but he is for abortion and God is not pleased with that. Jeremiah 1:5 states: Befor I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. If God knew Jeremiah what do think about every child conceived. This world is alway’s full of fleshly pleasures. It is something wrong when this world will allow women to open there legs to free sex and decide I don’t want this baby lets kill it because of her selfish feeling. And in the case of rape the baby could be put up for adoption. And in a life and death situation make a choice, but God is watching and he said a commandment thou shalt not kill. I will not support Obama and also I will not support a Freemason either. They offer up false gods. I don’t care how christian some of them claim to be. 32 degree freemasons worship the head of john the baptist and basphomat the goat head. Be careful who you think are christian. Do the research.

I think people in the intertainment business should keep their political opinions to themselves, and not use their celebrity as a platform for promoting the candidate of their choice. People tend to divide along polical lines, as you can see. Oprah has made a serious business mistake. Also, her New Age religion will most likely cost her a huge amount of her fortune. I will not support her in any way. Nor will I patronize the sponsors of her show. McCain and Palin, you have my full support.

Do the boycotters think their going to crumble Operah entire empire b/c she doesn’t support their political views? Honestly though, she’s probably thinking “so what”. Give me a break, even if she loses a whole lot of ratings, standing up for her decision of not endorsing or interviewing any political candidates before an election has always been her stance, so I highly doubt that loosing any ratings is going to effect her. I honestly think she’s more interested in humanitarian issues rather than politics anyway.

Oprah knows Barack’s actions have truly walked in the way of Jesus more than this hypocrite, Palin. Wake up people, we are in big trouble if this woman gets in with McCain and Oprah knows it. I find myself wondering “what news are you Palin supporters listening to?” or do you not care as long as she is female, and wants to take away women’s rights and calls herself republican. Oprah has accomplished more for humankind than SP will ever accomplish with her bully tactics. I am shocked that the Republicans are so hard up that they have embraced her. I don’t look at her as this mother who does it all. It looks to me as tho she has chosen to be a VP candidate at the expense of her family. Actually, her family appears to be in crisis and that is probably because she couldn’t handle family and being a govenor. Where is her beautiful 4 month old baby. He is either without a mother in his life or on a jet flying from city to city several times a day. What happened to the family values platform of the Republicans? I fail to understand why people are so upset with Oprah who chooses not to have Palin on her show, the key word being her show. If Palin was a male, would this matter to all these “feminist”? The problem I see with all this is we’re losing focus on what really matters. To vote for someone simply because they’re male or female, black or white breeds ignorance. Our choices should be based on the the issues that affect this country as a whole. Boycotting Oprah’s show is just stupid and a waste of time. We are living in sad and shameful times but it has always been this way at least for my past 50 years. Oprah is famous mainly because white that people say they loved her. She has never appealed to as many Black people as she does white. The country has lost jobs and gas prices are gone crazy and you indignant people are worried about someones freedom to do what she wants on her own show. Republicans have never cared about people only about control. That is what has ignited this witch hunt against Oprah. FYI, Oprah is not the controlling kind. As long as you as the white majority gets what you want when you want it is okay. Oprah has a show and it is hers not the Republican GOP. Palin is white so that makes her right. The Republican party has a President that parades around daily as if he on a float waving at people on the sidelines. He has no regard nor remorse for the jobs and money that people has lost in this country during his reign as King(definitely not President)and all you people can boycott is Oprah. IF you were about truth and justice you be marching on Washington. Not all white people are racist and ignorant to the fact that there are two Americas. Obama and your girl Oprah has been accused of being arrogant because they both speak and conduct themselves with intelligence and confidence. Neither can be described as poor and lazy good for nothing people wanting something for nothing. Instead, you have a president that is arrogant and unconcerned about the state that he put the US in. Some people white and black want change not the same. But some white people are what they always have been racious and superior in thinking and how they treat the less privileged. Guess what there is someone bigger than you and me who has higher powers and will make this election for the little people not the rich. Oprah is about change, she is about sharing, and helping all people. She is who she has always been which is a person who caters to all not just a specific group. But now that she has shown you the (White Republican GOP women) that she is her own person you as white people do when Blacks don’t walk within the restraints of your ideals, now has turned against her. The Republican GOP doesn’t have the any idea of what change is, because if that was the case there wouldn’t be a linch mob forming against your favorite Black woman. Oprah’s so-called loyal white audience is finally showing their true colors. She has been the white woman’s life for years, she lets her guard down, shows her weaknesses, opening up to people that she thought of as friends. The racist and dominance of white people has finally showed it’s ugly face at the expense of someone that trusted them and who under false pretense befriended her.

I have a hunch we would never have known a woman named Palin if she had been ordinary looking and maybe a little out of shape. McCain lost my vote. It’s so sad that there are so many hateful things being said. Even if you don’t agree with what Oprah did, even if you are completely disgusted by it, it doesn’t give you or anybody else the right to speak so harshly of someone you don’t know. Oprah started that show to give voice to the people and to the causes she believes in. I won’t say whether or not I agree with her decision because, well, it doesn’t matter. It’s her show. First off, Oprah is using your option of supporting her candidate. After all, it is her show. It may be irresponsible from a journalistic point of view not to interview Palin. I think in this case a boycott is a little extreme. She is free to support whom she wants to. Over time its actions like this that will slowly erode her base. She does seem to balance things well though. Lets not forget she does help countless people. Only herself and God know her heart, so lets not be to harsh. At least not yet.

I totally disagree that Oprah’s actions are racist. There are just some things that Oprah will not allow on her show. If you haven’t noticed, Oprah has a problem with rappers appearing on her show… and most rappers are African-American. She eats rappers alive! It’s her perogative! So I don’t think that the republican women should take it as personally as they are. Instead of everyone focusing on all of these irrelevant topics let’s focus on the important issues that are plaguing our country.

Years ago before I retired, I could only watch Oprah on the rare occasion that I was home. She had a wonderful show. When I retired, I couldn’t wait to see it. My God, how she has changed. She has become a smug, smart a*, limosine liberal. She wears ridiculous wigs, shaking her head as though she has some kind of wierd tremors, so she can watch the fake curls bounce. She fawns over any liberal celebrity, regardless of the fact that most of them are halfwitted, drug damaged imbeciles. The very man she is worshipping would have us living in a socialist society. I don’t think she would want to go back to the rotten, poverty stricken life she had before she made it big. Yes, she does give alot of money away. But in the grand scheme of things, the amount she gives away is peanuts, as to what she earns in a single year.

I don’t watch Oprah anymore to me she is loony like Tom Cruise. Her whole New Earth book promoting a guy who never even finished High School is CRAZY. Then she wants Obama to be president. I don’t like her anymore.

I think all this mud slinging that is going is very childish. What do you people think you are teaching our young people by doing this. Do they have anyone they can really look up to anymore. Maybe everyone needs to take a few steps back and quit looking at it as Black and White or Republican and Democrat. Don’t you know that you should vote for the person you feel will best represent our Country. How about going back to when this country was founded, It was founded with the slogan “In God We Trust”. One woman took prayer out of our schools, do you people not read your Bible, do you not have faith in God anymore? Maybe we all need to look at what we are doing. Because the generation that is coming up to take Presidency and be in offices are listening to all of you Fighting and making mean nasty remarks to each other. Trying to put the blame on the Republicans or putting the blame on the Democrats. Who really is to blame. For one thing we need to quit giving our money that maining comes from our taxes to other Countries who hate us anyway and do not ever pay anything back. The middle class is sick and tired of working hard for every dime they get and paying high taxes to have the government give it away. Bottom Line is this. GROW UP!

Maybe she doesn’t want to interview Palin because Palin can’t answer the questions. All she can do is spew out the Republican talking points that she has during all of her speeches. The McCain campaign won’t even let her talk to reporters yet!! This just goes to show how unqualified she is. And to Heather Davids- there are more things other than experience that qualify you to be President, one of them being intelligence. Palin has a journalism degree from the University of Idaho. No offense to U of I, but I want the leaders of my country to be smarter than me, and that doesn’t cut it. And how about McCain, who was 894th out of 899 graduates in the 1958 class from the Naval Acadamy? As for your own intelligence, I can tell by the spelling errors in your post that you are not the sharpest knife in the drawer either, and judging from the “Osama bin” comment, you are obviously a bigot as well. Maybe you should close your “big fat mouth” and do some reading yourself, if you even can read. As far as Palins experience is concerned, your own guy Karl Rove criticized Tim Kaine, a potential VP pick for Obama, who was mayor of Richmond, Virginia(population 200,000) and is the current governor of Virginia for the past 3 years, for not having enough experience and that choosing him would “be an intensely political choice where he said ‘you know what, I’m really not first and foremost concerned with is this person capable of being president of the United States’”. However, when Palin was chosen, he was quick to praise her experience level because she is governor of Alaska (for only 20 months), and was former mayor of the 2nd largest town in Alaska (population <10,000). Funny how perspectives change that quickly, huh?

Many of you call Oprah racist, you should on you taube where a Africa American has claimed to the father of Palin’s daughter and Palin has refused any right to this boy. But he has said he will fight for the right to be the baby’s father. Way to go Oprah.

I have been watching Oprah for many years, but NO MORE. This is a woman who in recent times had a show in which she implied living in a marriage with one husband and multiple wives was just simply an alternative lifestyle. However, this does not align with most of our country’s Judeo Christian values and sociologically, this is not likely to be healthy for women and children. Yet, she says or strongly implies she is an advocate for women. With reference to politics. She has EVERY right to endorse a candidate. But the way she handled herself here was unprofessional, deceptive and biased. She had Obama on the show early. Swoons all over him and comes right out and says that he would be a great presidential candidate in her view. Then she publically and privately does what she can to make sure he is in the presidential race. Next…she closes the door to other candidates being on the show. Even two women who represent what she advocates on the show: strong and independent thinking women. One in particular, Palin, would be someone that her viewers (the women who helped to make her rich) would really like to learn more about. Well, Oprah has showed her hand and guess what? She has got her middle finger up and aimed right at her fan base. Something wrong with her thinking. It is Oprah’s right to do what she likes. However, women in this country are not doormats. It is our right to turn the show off and many of us will also tune out the candidate she has endorsed.
