Bradford eclipses ‘06 fundraising, still lags far behind Buescher

A September bump in Republican House District 55 candidate Laura Bradford’s campaign fundraising has pushed her 2008 fundraising total over that of 2006 candidate Bob Caskey. However, a Political Notebook analysis of campaign finance data shows she still lags far behind her opponent, state Rep. Bernie Buescher, D-Grand Junction, in funds collected this year.
According to the records, Bradford has collected $29,019 so far this year compared to Caskey’s 2006 total of $27,492 during the same time period (January through September).
The same records also show Buescher, who has collected $141,309 this year, has continued to eclipse his 2006 fundraising (through the end of September) of $81,580.
Here are the 2006 v. 2008 charts:

Two comments:
1) It would be helpful if you graphed the GOP HD55 fundraising “success” on the same scale as the graph for BB’s fundraising.
2) Caskey’s fundraising is not a very high standard for comparison. Especially if you remove the $10,000+ that Caskey gave himself in 2006.

This would usually be the part where Bob Caskey would come out with some more nasty comments about Bradford.
Come on Bob. Where did you go?

Check the contribution reports.
Bob has been there in most of the recent reports. $50 here, $100 there, he’s giving.
Sort of makes you worry about Bradford, doesn’t it?
