Wolf backs Salazar vote on economic bailout package

WayneWolf37.jpg

Republican congressional candidate Wayne Wolf told Political Notebook today that Congressman John Salazar’s vote against a $700 billion economic bailout package was a sign that his priorities in confronting this crisis were spot on.

“My understanding is that Congressman Salazar voted against the bailout package both times. I would have done the same,” Wolf said in an e-mail. “The present Congress and administration have gone from reacting to one emergency to another.”

Wolf said he still thinks Salazar is wrong for the Western Slope, but at least in confronting this crisis they were on the same page.
