Obama campaign drops millions on Colorado television advertising

If you were looking for evidence of why Barack Obama has surged ahead in Colorado and other battleground states in recent days, you need not look any further than his ad buys.
According to The Washington Post’s The Fix, the Obama campaign has dropped $1.2 million into Colorado this week while Republican John McCain and his team have spent $807,000.
Though it’s true ad buys are just one part of a campaign, they certainly can help tip swing states or swing districts one way or the other. And with Colorado at the center of this presidential election, expect more of the same as Nov. 4 approaches.
