Committee funded by oil, gas companies slams tax hike

Better Roads Now, the campaign supporting the passage of Amendment 52, has come out with a new ad today featuring former Congressman Scott McInnis, R-Colo.

Here’s the TV spot:

What the ad — which also slams Amendment 58, a bid to increase the taxes oil and gas firm pay — fails to mention is that Better Roads Now has been entirely funded by oil and gas companies.

Perhaps as one more piece of context, McInnis has been a paid lobbyist for the energy industry.
