And we paid how much for this?

By Lynn Lickers
Part of my job here at The Daily Sentinel is to head up our bi-annual market research study. We hire an outside, independent media research firm that compiles our survey questions, conducts the survey and reports the results to us. I also studied the market research process in college and throughout my career. So I know a thing or two about how unbiased, fair, and scientifically accurate (reliable) surveys should be conducted. More importantly, I know how they should not be conducted. The recent survey mailed to Mesa County residents by School District #51is a prime example of how a non-biased, fair and scientifically accurate survey should not, make that NEVER, be conducted. Fellow blogger Ralph D'Andrea says it all and he says it in his usual pull-no-punches manner. You owe it to yourself to read what he says, look at the survey and form your opinion.
