Family heirloom

By Robin Dearing

One of the things we brought back from my mom's house in California was little gem. It's a log splitter.

That hydraulic ram stands up while splitting logs. Then it lies back down on the trailer for storage and transport.

It cuts through wood like butter even though it's more than 20 years old. It's super bad ass.

But that's not why it makes me happy. I love this machine because it was buil from the ground up by my dad.

I never thought I'd get choked up seeing a piece of equipment working, but this thing makes me very happy.

How perfect for your new house too!

I know! Our house came with a high-efficiency fire place which we like to use to heat the house. Bill’s out there splitting wood right now. He loves it!

Your dad was a clever guy. How cool that you guys can put his creation to good use.
