Happy Birthday Big Boy

Soren celebrated his third birthday a couple weeks ago. I must say he was spoiled rotten on his 2-special days. The day of his birthday mom and dad both had the day off. We started with homemade waffles just the way he likes them. Then we took him on a private tour of a local fire station. He loved that! He got to climb all over the equipment, take a ride in a real fire truck, and squirt the hose. Dispatch even wished him a happy birthday! Thanks Uncle Chuck-there's a special present in your future. We had pancakes for lunch at Village Inn followed by a short nap. Then we went to his very first movie in a theater experience. He had insisted that we see Coraline. I must say we were rather nervous about this movie as the previews looked kind of scary. No need though as he loved that too, especially the 3-D glasses. The next day he had a small gathering of family and cake at Kidzplex, a.k.a. The Ball Pit. It doesn't get any better than that when you are 3!
