The Mailbox

Whenever someone new to our home comes to visit, they always ask about this:

Well, of course, it's our family mailbox. Sheesh, doesn't everyone have one of these?

We made this about a year ago just for fun. Every once in a while, we leave each other love notes.

Last night, it was taking a really long time to boil water so I grabbed the crayons and the markers and sent the boys some mail.

There was an equally unoriginal note and amatuer drawing for Soren, Marek and Marty.

Jonas got to be the mailman and deliver everyone's mail to them just before dinner.

Mail Call is a big deal at our house and even though the notes are simple and rudimentary, it takes just a moment out of our day to remind each other that we are a family who loves each other.
