Thoughts on discipline

By Robin Dearing
I’m thinking I need a new book, one about discipline. My boys have been naughty and I’ll admit we’ve been slack. When working, the precious evening hours should be spent cuddling, drawing and discussing the art of a good body slam. We do a lot of this. But, much of the time, there is crying and time-out, and uncontrollable hysteria. How do I discipline effectively? I don’t want to spend my time reprimanding my children ALL THE TIME. I also don’t want to be subjected to a deluge of sass mouth and flying biscuits. Right now, we use spanking rarely, and time-out often. I’m guilty of bribery and taking things away if they don’t behave. I’m also guilty of just giving in because I’m tired and it’s easier. Obviously it’s not working. Any advise?
