Rev’s Signature Sound

It's a big week for music here in Grand Junction. So far I count at least four different shows worth checking out this Friday and Saturday and none of them are any bigger than the Reverend Horton Heat with Shotgun Hodown and Reno Divorce (Check out my full show preview in this Friday's Out and About).
If you are a gear head like me then you will get a kick out of this video. Want to get that signature Rev sound? Well it's going to cost you. Here is Jim Heath talking about the gear he uses on stage including his custom Gretsch hollowbody and his Gretsch Executive amp. Just between the two, you are looking at about $5,000 and that's not including the effect pedal set you would need to add.
The sound is a little spotty in this video but I think it's always cool to hear from musicians about what they look for in gear and how much energy they put in to get that perfect sound.
