Gotta get away?

By Gary Harmon
When you're president, you can do that, it seems. While his underlings were explaining (away) the withdrawals of Tom Daschle to shepherd national health care and Nancy Killefer to be chief performance officer, whatever exactly that's supposed to be. Some have said this was Obama's "My Pet Goat" moment, a reference to President Bush reading aloud the children's book in a schoolroom on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001. The Sept. 11 attacks were a surprise that require Bush to return to the White House. Obama knew precisely what was happening to his appointments when he fled the White House. Obama did know, right? Right? Anyone?
