Cold and Beer

By Lynn Lickers
Cold and beer should go together. As in "cold beer". Sometimes they are separated however - like last night. I dutifully ran my scheduled miles in the frigid cold evening. It was cold. I normally like running in the cold but it was almost painful for the first mile. I need to rethink my cold weather running wardrobe. After I finished and came back to my relatively warm house I texted Hot Legs Norman and let her know how cold it was. She sent me back this photo of how she spent the evening: juliebeer.jpg "All gone." Yep - a nice, cold, dark beer polished off. I, on the other hand, indulged in diet ginger ale. Good for her. Beer has carbs. She's a runner. She needs carbs. More beer=better running. How do you dress for your cold weather runs?
