London and the Airplane Upchucks!

By Rachel Farrington

After the Lakes we were able to visit Chatsworth which is a famous estate in the Peak District. Some of you may recognize it as Mr Darcy's home from the newer Pride and Prejudice. It was more beautiful in real life.

Then it was off to London for a day where we played in Hyde Park, watched the guards at Buckingham Palace, and Jonahs favorite--went to Harrods and spent an hour in the 26000 sqft toy store section! London is an awesome city and it only whet our whistle to return and do it justice.

Our return trip to Rome was in true Farrington style: we booked the cheapest flight which left at 6am, Jonah got sick for the 4th time on the trip and puked a ton all over me and himself and even after washing off everything in the phone booth size bathroom we still reaked of vomit until we made it to Rome and changed clothes. For the rest of the day (which included two buses and a longish train ride to the port) Jonah held tight to a barf bag like it was a security blanket and neurotically threw his face in it everytime he felt the urge. Luckily all the rest were just showy false alarms. We ended that day with a mile walk in the pouring rain to our hotel with all our luggage because we are literally too cheap to get a cab (and maybe a little masochistic).
