A mouthful of a word

“Epistemologize” certainly does not roll trippingly off the tongue.
It is a verb form of “epistemology,” a branch of philosophy that focuses on the nature and limitations of knowledge.
The Scottish philosopher James Frederick Ferrier (1808-1865) introduced the term “epistemology,” according to Wikipedia. I suspect, however, that Ferrier would have never tried to make the word a verb by adding “ize.”
