Just let a bear handle it

With an irresistible line like this, how can one not wish to research it?

It turns out to be a stage direction from “A Winter’s Tale,” a lesser-known play by William Shakespeare.

Shakespeare needed to kill off one of his characters, so he had a bear do the gruesome deed – offstage, thankfully.
