Leo’s poignant vow

Leo’s response in the last panel of Doonesbury today is poignant. An Iraq veteran who has sustained brain damage, Leo has difficulty talking.

“Roger that” is military jargon for “I hear you” or “I understand.” A similar military response is, “I copy that.”

Let’s hope that Alex thinks Leo’s response is the best “I do” in the world.
