2 dead in Aurora home shootings, suspect arrested

AURORA — Police say two people have died after shootings at an Aurora home, and a suspect is in custody.

Aurora police say the shootings happened Tuesday just before 3 a.m. when two people entered a home and a struggle ensued. Police say one of the suspects was killed inside the home. The man who lived at the house left but was shot outside. Police found him in a nearby alley, and he was later pronounced dead.

A woman inside the home was also shot, but her injuries are not life threatening.

Police say the shooting suspect left the home in the resident’s Cadillac. Police arrested the suspect in Denver. Authorities say they’re not releasing his name because the investigation is ongoing.

Police have not released the names of the victims.
