2 feared dead in apparent central Utah plane crash

RICHFIELD, Utah — Authorities in central Utah say they may have found the wreckage of a single-engine airplane from northern California that never arrived at its destination in Colorado.

Sevier County Sheriff Nathan Curtis says family members called for help Saturday after the plane didn’t arrive in Aspen, Colo. Curtis says the last radar transmission showed the plane in Sevier County.

Rescuers started searching in the next county over on Sunday morning. Family of the missing aviators also contacted a private helicopter for assistance.
