250-plus classic, antique cars to be on display in Gateway

Do your eyes light up when you see a Ford Mustang?

Then your eyes are in for a treat at the sixth annual Gateway Canyons Classic Auto Fest on Saturday, May 7, at Gateway Canyons Resort and the Gateway Colorado Auto Museum.

The Ford Mustang is the marque car for this year’s fest, at which there will be more than 250 classic and antique cars on display.

The fest opens at 8 a.m. Saturday with judging beginning at 9 a.m. There also will be live music, prize give-aways, food and craft vendors, and more.

The show features 23 best of class categories with classic and antique cars from the early 1900s through the 1970s Camaros, Corvettes, hot rods, muscle cars, pickup trucks and Mustangs, of course.

Tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for ages 12 and younger, and are available at City Market stores or at the gate

Admission includes entry to the festival grounds and to the auto museum. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Mesa County Partners.
