Adam’s County sheriff’s deputy wounded in shooting

DENVER — Authorities are searching for a person who shot and injured an Adams County sheriff’s deputy.

Sheriff’s officials say deputies were on a routine foot patrol in an apartment complex around 11 p.m. Saturday when they heard a disturbance.

Several shots were fired at deputies as they approached, and one deputy was wounded.

The deputy was treated at a hospital and released.
