Airport board chairman resigns
Longstanding Grand Junction Airport Authority Board Chairman Denny Granum has resigned his position, submitting a letter of resignation at the start of that group’s meeting this evening.
Granum is one of three board members appointed by Mesa County. His current term on the board would have run out in January 2016.
A recent raid by federal authorities allegedly centered on fraud at the airport, and the Airport Authority also recently fired the airport’s Director of Aviation Rex Tippetts.
