Alleged call girl tells cops of ‘high demand’ in Grand Junction

A Lakewood woman suspected of prostitution at a Horizon Drive hotel told police of “high demand” for her services in Grand Junction, claiming she travels the country in her Hummer for sex or pricey dinner dates.

Lindsay Gifford, 28, allegedly also known online as “Miley Star,” was ticketed Sunday for suspicion of prostitution and driving with a suspended license after Grand Junction Police Department officers received a tip about a woman at a Grand Junction hotel who was running advertisements for sex at Backpage.com, according to a police summons.

The tipster provided police with a physical description of “Miley Star,” a license plate number for a silver Hummer she was driving and her phone number, the summons said.

Police learned the vehicle was registered to Gifford. She was arrested after investigation at the Ramada Inn, 752 Horizon Drive, and brought to the police department for an interview.

According to the summons, Gifford explained to officers she had not always been a “full service” escort and aspires to start her own entertainment company and eventually a studio.

“She explained how she posts her ad online and travels all over the country in her Hummer,” the summons reads. “Gifford said when she goes to some towns she has to post the ad a few days in advance advising when she will be in town, however, with Grand Junction, she said there is such a high demand for prostitution she just posts the ad when she gets here and she starts getting calls.”

Gifford explained this was her second time working in Grand Junction, “and on this trip she had been with three or four guys,” the summons said.

She told police her services go beyond sex.

“Gifford gave an example of a man paying her $2,000 in Las Vegas just to go out to dinner with her,” the summons said.
