Another day, another lottery millionaire in the Grand Valley

It’s gotta be something in the water.

Whatever the explanation is, Grand Valley residents are on a heck of a streak when it comes to lottery wins.

The Colorado Lottery announced late Wednesday night that a Lotto jackpot-winning ticket worth $3.3 million was sold at the Orchard Mesa City Market, 2770 U.S. Highway 50. The winning numbers were 6-9-16-18-26-31.

The jackpot-winning ticket was sold four days after Lottery officials announced that a Powerball jackpot-winning ticket worth $133.2 million was sold at the Lucky Me convenience store at 2902 Patterson Road. Judy Finchum of Clifton claimed the largest Powerball jackpot victory in the state’s history. Two other Powerball winning tickets — one worth $100,000, the other $50,000 — were sold last week in Grand Junction.

“G.J. is having the wildest Lucky streak we’ve ever seen!” the Lottery tweeted Wednesday night.

The winner of the Lotto jackpot hasn’t been identified yet.
