Arches, Canyonlands set to open in full tomorrow

Following new funding from the state of Utah, both Arches and Canyonlands national parks are set to open tomorrow, with facilities, campgrounds and visitors centers scheduled to open at 8 a.m.

Before that, starting at 5:30 p.m., Arches road will be open for sunset viewing in Arches National Park.

The Delicate Arch trailhead parking lot is open to hike the 3 miles round trip trail to Delicate Arch. The second parking lot beyond the trailhead parking lot, to the Delicate Arch viewpoint, is closed due to recent rains. Natural Bridges National Monument opened at 10:30 a.m. today.

Dead Horse Point State Park has suspended honoring the National Park Pass for free entry into Dead Horse Point State Park with the opening of the national parks.
