Bennet to make beer in Grand Junction
U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet will be at Grand Junction’s Edgewater Brewery on Thursday to make beer and serve patrons.
As part of his “Coloradans Don’t Shut Down Tour,” the junior Democratic senator from Colorado will work at the newly opened brewery, a spinoff of Kannah Creek Brewing Co., from noon to 1. It is located on Riverside Parkway at 9th Street.
The tour, which is being done statewide all this week, also took the senator to a meatpacking plant in Fowler, a John Deere dealership in Alamosa, clearing tables at a cafe in Manitou Springs and working with police in Pueblo. He also plans to be a substitute teacher in Denver.
At Edgewater, the senator is to split his time between the brewery and the restaurant. He will help bottle beer and clean brewery equipment, and then take orders and deliver food to patrons
