Mesa freshman Stephan still learning how to use his height to his advantage
Ryan Stephan was hoping to redshirt this season for Colorado Mesa, but an injury to Chandler Burgon forced the Mavs to throw the freshman post into the fire. Stephan is still learning his way in the offense and is also learning how to use his 6-foot-10 frame. The 18-year-old has grown one foot in the past four years.

Four years ago, Ryan Stephan was an average 5-foot-10 high school freshman at Green Mountain High School.
Fast forward.
Stephan is now a not-so-average 6-foot-10 college freshman at Colorado…
