BLM to get $1.1 billion in president’s proposed budget

The Bureau of Land Management, which administers most of the public lands in the West and more than 1 million acres in and around Mesa County, is proposed to spend $1.1 billion in 2015, on projects including preserving sage grouse in Colorado and other states, and increases spending by $20 million on oil and gas.

The proposal marks the beginning of the budget process for the fiscal year that begins Oct 1.
