Body of missing Colorado man found in Utah

MANILA, Utah — The body of missing Colorado man has been found in a remote Utah canyon.

A relative of 45-year-old Kenneth Martin Roche asked the Daggett County sheriff’s office to check on his welfare Thursday. Roche was believed to be staying at a cabin in Brown’s Park.

On Friday, a Utah wildlife employee found Roche’s abandoned vehicle high-centered on a rock at least 50 feet of the roadway near the Utah-Colorado line.

The Deseret News reports a search was launched the next day and expanded on Sunday to include teams from three counties in two states.

Roche’s body was found Sunday afternoon in Crouse Canyon. The cause of death is believed to be hypothermia with alcohol as a contributing factor.

Authorities say the Steamboat Springs man had several outstanding arrest warrants.
