Bond set at $5 mill. for GJ man held in Kentucky slaying
County Court Judge Bruce Raaum today set bond at $5 million for a Grand Junction man suspected of involvement in the killing of a Fort Campbell soldier.
Jarred Tabor Long, 24, told the judge he hadn’t been able to hire an attorney, despite reaching out via phone calls from the Mesa County Jail. Raaum appointed the Colorado State Public Defender’s office in the case.
Long is scheduled to return to court Wednesday before District Judge Brian Flynn, when Long may indicate whether he will fight extradition.
Long was arrested Sunday in the parking lot of the North Avenue Wal-Mart on a warrant issued in Christian County, Kentucky, in connection with the murder Friday of 28-year-old Vincent Goslyn. Goslyn was found shot to death Friday in a roadway in rural Christian County.
Goslyn’s wife, Jessie Goslyn, was arrested Saturday night in connection with the incident.
