Bride attacked at wedding reception

DENVER – A bride is recovering from injuries after she was attacked by a dog and a man with brass knuckles at her wedding reception.

Brittany Cortez says Joel Nevarez was invited to the reception and it was unknown why he began attacking her early Sunday during their reception.

According to KMGH-TV, Nevarez is wanted for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

The dog has been seized and is being held on a 10-day quarantine at the Denver Animal Shelter. The dog’s fate is undecided.
