College Volleyball

• Tara King ran the show for the Mesa State College volleyball team last weekend, helping the Mavericks to a pair of key RMAC victories.
The sophomore setter from Steamboat Springs recorded 54 assists against Western State and 34 against Fort Lewis and was selected the RMAC setter of the week.
King added two solo blocks and nine digs against the Skyhawks. She leads the Mavericks with 826 assists and also has 140 digs and 37 blocks, six solo, this season.
Mesa State (13-11, 11-6 RMAC) clinched a spot in the RMAC tournament and are one game behind Western New Mexico for the RMAC West Division lead. The Mavericks play at New Mexico Highlands on Friday and have a possible division championship match Saturday at Western New Mexico to wrap up the regular season.
