Cedaredge nabs first state football title

BUENA VISTA—Cedaredge defeated Buena Vista 18-16 on Saturday to win the Class 1A state high school football title, the Bruins’ first football title in school history.

Cedaredge running back Carter Wasser scored on an 8-yard run in the fourth quarter to put Cedaredge ahead for good, 18-9.

Junior Trent Walker completed of 9 of 21 passes for 87 yards for Cedaredge.
