Central coughs up three 4th quarter fumbles, loses to Green Mountain

No. 30, Dusty Sanchez from Central HS runs against Green Mountain HS during Friday’s game.

Central High School lost three fumbles in the fourth quarter as Green Mountain defeated the Warriors 21-14 on Friday at Stocker Stadium.

Dusty Sanchez rushed for 87 yards on 14 carries for the Warriors, including a 52-yard run in the third quarter that put Central ahead, 14-6.

But Green Mountain (4-0) came back minutes later with an Austin Morse 15-yard touchdown and, in the fourth quarter, went ahead for good on a Roland Warns six-yard touchdown run.

Central (0-4) played without numerous players due to injuries, suspensions and ineligibility.
