City trash pickup delayed; high winds close landfill

Officials with the city of Grand Junction say some residents’ trash service will be delayed until tomorrow, as high highs winds have forced the closure of the landfill.

If trash trucks missed your home today, they’ll make it there tomorrow, according to the city. The Grand Junction CRI Recycling drop-off site is also closed today due to the high winds, and should resume operation on Tuesday morning.
