Climber airlifted after falling in Eldorado Canyon

BOULDER — A man was airlifted out of Eldorado Canyon State Park after falling from a rock formation he was climbing.

Authorities say it is unclear what caused the man to fall Wednesday because he was wearing the proper climbing gear.

The man was seriously injured. He was taken to a nearby fire station, where a helicopter picked him up and took him to St. Anthony Hospital in Denver.
