CMU men defeats Chadron State in RMAC opener

Michael Bear scored 26 points to lead Colorado Mesa to a 76-70 victory over Chadron State in each team’s RMAC opener at Brownson Arena.

The Mavericks (3-2, 1-0 RMAC) went on a 12-4 run to start the second half to take a 40-30 lead and never looked back.

Chadron State (0-5, 0-1 RMAC) cut the lead down to five, but CMU made 5 of 7 free throws in the final two minutes to seal the victory.
