CMU swimming coach steps down
Colorado Mesa University’s only men’s and women’s swimming coach stepped down, the athletic department announced.
Brian Pearson told the Sentinel it was time for someone else to lead the program after six years as the women’s coach and three as the men’s.
The Mavericks qualified 20 student-athletes in 35 events for the NCAA Division II national championships, including three All-Americans.
Pearson will remain an assistant coach, help with recruiting and will develop a men’s and women’s club program at the institution.
