RSSCMU wrestlers defeat 18th-ranked Western State
Tyler Nelson, Nick Petersen and Jordan Passehl avenged losses earlier this season to lead the Colorado Mesa wrestling team to an 18-13 RMAC victory over 18th-ranked Western State on Thursday night at Paul Wright Gym in Gunnison.
The Mavericks (7-8, 2-2 RMAC) won six of the 10 matches to defeat Western State (5-4, 1-2 RMAC) for the second time this season and just the second time since the wresting program was reinstated six years ago.
