Mavericks ranked 18th in nation

Colorado Mesa is ranked 18th in the latest National Wrestling Coaches Association Division II poll, released late Wednesday.

It is the Mavs’ first appearance in the national rankings since January 2010. Colorado Mesa sophomore Dylan Granard is ranked fourth at 165 pounds.

Mesa is one of five RMAC teams in the top 20. Nebraska-Kearney is fourth, Grand Canyon (Ariz.) is fifth, Adams State is ninth and Fort Hays State (Kan.) is 12th.
