CMU’s Selsor finalist for national player of the year
Sharaya Selsor shattered records all season for the Colorado Mesa University women’s basketball team.
Monday, the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association announced the senior from Glenwood Springs is one of three finalists for its national player of the year award in Division II.
Selsor, who scored 750 points this season and is fourth in the nation in scoring average (23.4), is a finalists along with Bentley’s Lauren Battista and Cal Poly Pomona’s Jada Blackwell.
She also made the 10-player WBCA All-America team, and earlier in the day learned she was on the Daktronics All-America first team.
The player of the year will be announced April 7 in Nashville as part of the WBCA’s awards show, in conjunction with the women’s Division I Final Four.
