Colorado man charged in boater’s death in Nebraska

OGALLALA, Neb. — A Colorado man driving a personal watercraft is charged in a collision that killed a Colorado boater on Lake McConaughy in western Nebraska.

The Keith County attorney’s office says a 64-year-old man from Brighton, Colo., died on Sunday when the personal watercraft ended up in the boat. There were four other family members in the boat, and they were injured.

County Attorney Randy Fair says a 36-year-old man from Castle Rock, Colo., who was also injured, is charged with manslaughter and reckless/negligent operation of a personal watercraft.

Fair says he expects to release more details, including names, later on Tuesday
